Mother and daughter killed in head-on collision

COLD SPRING, Ky. (WKRC) - Police responded to a fatal crash in Cold Spring Thursday, March 3.

It happened around 7 p.m. on northbound US-27, south of the AA Highway. A mother and young daughter were killed in the head-on collision. Investigators said the driver of the other vehicle went left of center, slamming into the mother and child.

The other driver was taken to UC Medical Center. No word on her condition.

The northbound lanes of US-27 were closed while officials investigated. They are looking into what caused the driver to crash into the victims. So far, no names have been released. The highway has since reopened.
