Vacant building in Northside damaged by fire

NORTHSIDE, Ohio (WKRC) - Firefighters had a tough time putting out a fire in a vacant building in Northside.

Flames broke about around 2 a.m. Thursday morning in the Schott Monument building in the 4000 block of Spring Grove Avenue.

The fire was small, but since the building is old, it made it difficult for crews.

The structure was scheduled to be torn down.

The smoke from the fire could be seen from I-75.
