CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A Cincinnati charity has come up with a new way to help this Thanksgiving.

St. Vincent de Paul brought the feast directly to the doorsteps of elderly and disabled people in need.

More than 50 families got a delivery from a church volunteer group called the Mighty Men.

"We know we are a blessing to the people we are serving this Thanksgiving season," said Dave Hammerstrom, a member of Mighty Men. "But more importantly it's what happens to our men they feel good about serving and being the hands and feet of Christ."

This year, St. Vincent de Paul received a truckload and a half full of food boxes from Crossroads Church.

The rest of the food will be handed out Tuesday.

It's first come, first serve and the hope is to feed 1,200 families.
