Woman accused of fatally shooting man in groin after he 'jokingly requested she shoot him'

WESTWOOD, Ohio (WKRC) — WESTWOOD, Ohio (WKRC) - A Westwood woman was accused of fatally shooting a man in the groin Sunday.

According to authorities, Kathleen Geiger is accused of shooting Arthur Osborne once in the groin at an apartment on East Tower Drive.

Geiger told police that she and the victim "were engaged in harmless banter when he jokingly requested she shoot him."

Geiger told authorities that she believed the firearm was empty at the time.

Police said that Geiger provided medical aid and called 911.

She is charged with recklessly causing the death of Osborne. A judge ordered her held on $10,000 bond.
