Woman accused of assaulting girls, defecating at Norwood park
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A woman accused of assaulting a group of girls at a Norwood park and then defecating as police tried to arrest her appeared in court. Deborah Roy, 59, faces four counts of assault, public indecency, obstructing official business and resisting arrest.
The girls say Roy walked up to them at Victory Park on Mills Avenue, threw a beer can at them and hit and kicked them. She's also accused of yelling racial slurs at them.
When police arrived, Roy started to walk away. Witnesses told the officer that she was the one who assaulted the girls.
When the officer caught up with Roy, he says he told her she was under arrest. That's when police say she dropped her pants and defecated on the grass. She then allegedly told the crowd to take a picture. Police say she tried to pull away while she was under arrest but they were able to take her into custody.
A judge allowed Roy to stay out of jail without posting bond. However, she's been ordered to stay away from the park and to not drink alcohol.
