A newly-released police dash camera video shows the moment that a man, who was reportedly overdosing, crashed his car into a Myrtle Beach patrol vehicle.

The video was released to WPDE as part of a Freedom of Information Act request.

The Tennessee man was given Narcan after he overdosed in his car while driving on Mr. Joe White and hit two Myrtle Beach police officers in a patrol vehicle on Oct. 26, according to an incident report just released by the South Carolina Department of Public Safety.

Joshua Adam Gamble, 37, from Opra Hill, Tenn., was charged with driving under the influence and driving without a license in connection with the crash, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.

The report states that, when looking in Gamble's car, the officer saw, in plain view, a syringe on the floor of the driver's side.

Gamble and the two police officers in the patrol car were taken to the hospital and released a short time later.
