WASHINGTON D.C. (WKRC) - According to several reports, a Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen location in the nation's capital has been shuttered after a video showing rats in its kitchen went viral.

The restaurant in Washington D.C.'s Eastern Market neighborhood has been shut down by the Health Department just a short time after a man's viral Tiktok video revealed that the kitchen was infested with rats.

In the video, the man explains that he delivers raw chicken to Popeyes restaurants and takes viewers into the closed restaurant at night. He walks into the kitchen, turns on the lights, and several rats scurry around before climbing up a metal wire casing to the ceiling to what is presumably their nest.

"You still love that chicken from Popeyes?" the man asks amusedly, singing part of his question to the company's commercial jingle.
