LAFAYETTE, Colo. (WKRC) - A Colorado teacher is on paid leave after being accused of physically assaulting a student who wouldn't stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

The school's policy says students may choose to sit or stand during the pledge, according to a report by KMGH.

It's unclear whether the student was injured, but the police were called.
