CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Chad Johnson is 39 years old and last played in the NFL in 2011 and Terrell Owens is age 43 and last played in 2010, but both think they can help the ailing New York Giants receiving corps.

The Giants lost four wide receivers to injuries on Sunday - Odell Beckham Jr. to a broken left ankle, Sterling Shepard to a sprained ankle, Brandon Marshall to a sprained ankle and Dwayne Harris with a fractured foot - so in separate tweets after those injuries both Johnson and Owens reminded the Giants they are available.

Johnson played for the Bengals from 2001-10 and is the franchise's career leader in receptions (751), receiving yards (10,783) and touchdown receptions (66).

Owens played for the Bengals in 2010 and was the last NFL team for which he played in his 15-year career. In that 2010 season for the Bengals, Owens had 72 receptions for 983 yards and nine touchdown.

Both are nominees for the 2018 Pro Football Hall of Fame.
