Miami's Harding signs free agent deal with Atlanta
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Heath Harding, a member of the Miami University football team since 2013, signed a free agent deal with the Atlanta Falcons.
Harding was a two-time All-MAC performer, earning first-team honors in 2016 and third-team accolades in 2017. Prior to the start of his senior year, Harding was named to the preseason watch list by three major national award watch lists: Chuck Bednarik, Bronko Nagurski and Jim Thorpe.
Harding finished his career with 290 tackles, 18.0 tackles for loss, 10 interceptions, 30 pass breakups and four forced fumbles, while seeing action in 51 games (45 starts).
This past year, the fifth-year senior started 11 games at defensive back, registering 63 tackles, one interception, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and nine pass breakups. Harding's lone interception came against Bowling Green and he forced fumbles versus Austin Peay and Eastern Michigan, while earning an invite to the East-West Shrine Game.
