Prediction: All four area college football teams will go bowling

According to Jerry Palm of four area college football teams will go bowling after the 2017 season (WKRC).

CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Jerry Palm is most noted for his consistent prognostication of how the NCAA basketball tournament bracket will look while each season unfolds and now he has prognosticated how the bowl lineup following the 2017 college football regular season will look.

The outlook is bright, in his opinion, for numerous area teams to go bowling.

Palm has Ohio State as the No. 2 seed facing No. 3 USC in a College Football Playoff semifinal game in the Rose Bowl with the winner facing the winner of No. 1 seed Alabama and No. 4 seed Florida State for the national championship.

As for other area schools, Palm has the following projected:

  • The University of Cincinnati under first-year head coach Luke Fickell playing in the Cure Bowl against Troy on Dec. 16 in Orlando.
  • The University of Kentucky playing Northwestern in the Music City Bowl on Dec. 29 in Nashville.
  • Miami University playing in the Camellia Bowl against South Alabama on Dec. 16 in Montgomery, Alabama.
