Reds reinstate Winker from 10-day DL among flurry of roster moves

CINCINNATI (WKRC) - The Reds have reinstated from the 10-day disabled list OF Jesse Winker and have added a couple of right-handed pitchers to the roster.

Winker, who has been sidelined with a left hip flexor strain, was swinging a hot bat prior to his injury. In 74 at-bats with the Reds this season, Winker is hitting .297 with 4 HR and 10 RBI.

The team also recalled from Class AA Pensacola RHP Keury Mella and selected from Pensacola the contract of RHP Deck McGuire. When they pitch, Mella and McGuire each will make his Major League debut.

RHP Barrett Astin was designated for assignment.
