UC Football adds grad transfer WR JaQuay Savage (WKRC)

CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Graduate transfer wide receiver JaQuay Savage has joined the University of Cincinnati football team, Head Coach Luke Fickell announced Saturday.

Savage, a 6-3 native of Tyrone, Georgia, is immediately eligible for the 2017 season. He spent the past three years at Louisville and earned his bachelor's degree in the spring of 2017.

He has 19 career collegiate games under his belt, starting six. He has made 16 receptions for 206 yards and a pair of TDs.

The Sandy Creek HS product comes out of the same prep program as former Bearcats standout WR Alex Chisum and current UC true freshmen RB Jaelen Greene and WR Javan Hawes.

The Bearcats are in the middle of a two-week, training camp stay at the Higher Ground Conference & Retreat Center in West Harrison, Indiana ahead of the season opener against Austin Peay on Thursday, Aug. 31 at 7 p.m. ET in Nippert Stadium.
