CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Covington Catholic High School graduate CJ Fredrick has entered the NCAA transfer portal after spending two injury-plagued seasons at the University of Kentucky.

Fredrick transferred to Kentucky after spending his first three college seasons at Iowa from 2018-21. He redshirted his freshman season in 2018-19.

After coming to UK he missed the entire 2021-22 season due to surgery in November 2021 to repair a left hamstring injury.

This past season he was limited to 26 games, 15 of which he started, due to various injuries, including to his right hand and ribs. He averaged 6.1 points and made 31.8 percent of his three-point attempts (34 for 107).
