CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Just days after Jack Nunge announced he will not return to Xavier for one more season, one of his teammates said he will be using all of his eligibility.
According to CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein, forward Jerome Hunter plans to play for the Musketeers next season.
The 6'8" Hunter went from sixth man to starter after Zach Freemantle went down with a season-ending injury, averaging 10.3 points and 5.9 rebounds for the last 15 games of the season.
For the season, covering all 34 games played, he averaged 8.1 points and 4.5 rebounds.
Hunter averaged a team-high 19 points in Xavier's two NCAA Tournament wins before being held to three points in the season-ending defeat to Texas in the Sweet 16.
