Richard Skinner

Veteran Cincinnati sports journalist Richard Skinner joined WKRC-TV Local 12 as Digital Sports Columnist/Editor/Writer, the first time a digital platform writer has been dedicated to local sports for a television station in Greater Cincinnati.

Skinner covers professional, college and high school level sports as well as local events. From the Flying Pig Marathon to Bengals and Reds games, Saturday High School Rivals to NASCAR races, Richard writes blogs, opinion pieces, both long- and short-form stories, conducts video interviews and more.

Skinner appeared on Local 12 as a part-time sports anchor since 2001. He continues to be a panelist on The Sports Authority on Sunday evenings.

Spending more than two decades in print, radio and television, Skinner has worked for the Enquirer since 2008 as one of two Cincinnati Bengals beat reporters. Prior to the Enquirer, he spent several years with the Cincinnati/Kentucky Post covering Ohio area high schools, the Bengals, the Reds and the University of Kentucky Wildcats. He co-hosted The Two Angry Guys, a popular sports talk morning radio show with Tom Gamble.
