Tyler Madden

Tyler joined the Local 12 team as a reporter in June of 2023. He comes to Cincinnati after spending time at WTOV in Steubenville, Ohio, where he worked as both a reporter and weekend anchor. While in Steubenville Tyler covered a variety of stories on topics including local and state politics and viewer advocacy pieces. He also closely covered the toxic train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio.

Originally from Manchester, Connecticut, Tyler’s passion for broadcast journalism began at Manchester High School where he was involved with the school’s nationally-recognized, award-winning TV news program, “The Pulse.”

Tyler graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University in May of 2021 with a Bachelors in Communications and a double minor in Political Science and Sports and Leisure Management. At Eastern he served as executive producer and reporter for the school’s live weekly TV Newscast "ETV News.”

Tyler was honored in 2022 by The Ohio Associated Press with the Rising Star Award.

Tyler is also a huge sports fan and is an avid UConn basketball fan.
